This resonates deeply with me. I often feel the same tension, being aware of the chaos and suffering in the world, yet realizing I cannot carry or fix it all. For me, the honest answer to “What can I actually do?” begins with continuing my own healing. Not because I don’t care, but because a wounded spirit cannot bring much peace to others.
The more I learn to steady my own nervous system, live with integrity, and choose compassion in the small daily moments, the more I see how example quietly speaks louder than arguments ever could.
We may not heal the whole world, but we can become one calm place within it. And sometimes that is enough to remind another traveler that a different way of living is possible. 🌹🦉🪶🪷
Perfect timing on this - thank you for offering such a refreshing perspective. It sounds simple, it’s genuinely hard for a lot of people to think this way.
One of my dearest subscribers Anne Sharpe restacked your post. Great way to look at the bottom up. We all can do our bit.
Anne has done so for she has created a card game for children, youth and families. It is a game called I Am. Where each card has a prompt like I am love, I am strong, I am caring. And you then get to say why you are that way.
I love this: "Sure, love when people are watching you. But choose compassion when nobody sees it too."
And also, regarding this: "We can’t walk people onto the path. But we can show them that walking such a path is possible, and no matter what, there is always room for another traveler."
I just read a Joan Tollifson post where she shared this:
Very insightful and timely.

Just what I needed to hear in these challenging days
🙏🏻
I too try and lead by example and limit the sources of negative dialogue ✌🏼🩷
Love this, much needed right now.
So glad it connected.
Ok Cory, you’ve got to stop reading my mind. 🙏🪷😌
😂
Thank you so much for this, Cory. It feels as though it doesn’t matter, but I know deep down that it does.
Thank you for creating and sharing this. I will hold it close to my heart.
Beautiful. It’s my pleasure.

This is the grassroots of change. Thanks Anne.
Well said! Thank you for sharing your light ♡
Thank you.
Dear Cory,
Beautiful piece!
I love this: "Sure, love when people are watching you. But choose compassion when nobody sees it too."

"As you walk the
Spiritual path
It widens
Not narrows
Until one day
It broadens
To a point
Where
There is no
Path left at all.

Thank you for sharing as always!
