Why Small Changes Have Great Power
Earlier on in my life, I thought I’d reach a place where I didn’t need to grow anymore. Maybe it was youthful naivety or wishful thinking. Of course, as I kept growing, I discovered that the work is never finished.
This is a good thing. A beautiful thing. Something I’m increasingly grateful for as each day passes. The idea of being “done” is no longer appealing. Because if I’m done with growth, it means I’ve stopped looking closely at my life.
I’m not interested in doing that because the nuances of inner work are full of endless wonder, love, and transformation.
During the opening stages of growth, there are seismic shifts. We often make radical changes, grow in leaps and bounds, and use the resulting energetic enthusiasm to ride the wave of change for years. But after all the big changes burn off, we’re left with the delicate parts of ourselves that contain entire universes of possibility.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that small changes have great power. You might be thinking, wouldn’t it make sense for big changes to have more power than small ones?
