👏👏👏 im definitely in the “marinating phase” right now with some of my recent life decisions. Your post was a good reminder to take it at my own pace without the pressure of others. Work from the “inside out”.
What stood out to me most is how this approach builds trust with yourself over time. Instead of outsourcing our direction to goals, trends, or urgency, we practice listening. That feels especially important in unpredictable seasons, where responsiveness and self-honesty matter more than rigid plans. It is a beautiful reminder that alignment is something we return to moment by moment, not something we achieve once and for all. Thank you for articulating this so thoughtfully.
This question has become a real reference point for me.
When I’m honest, the moments that pull me further away usually come from parts of me that are rushing, managing, or trying to prove something. They feel urgent, sound convincing, and claim responsibility.
Closer to who I am feels different in my body. More like I’m choosing from myself instead of for an audience.

I am in a marinating phase - and i find freedom (& relief) in your words about not forcing action or decisions.
The strategic planner in the prior me - is taking a sabbatical- a break for this coming new year 2026.
Your one question will be enough!
Dear Cory,
Thank you for the great question: "Is this bringing me closer to myself or further away?"
That question is bringing me closer to myself.
Much love

Thank you Cory, a truly needed perspective to live in alignment, as we all get caught from time to time.
A great reminder 'closer or further away'.
Thank you for this.
Love this.
Exactly last year some resolutions feel through.
Because I didn’t go within but the ones I kept.
Were because they brought me closer.
